Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience and current ARRT or RCIS certification.
Responsibilities
Acute care hospital setting in a cardiac cath lab with 1 procedure suiteAdult inpatient and outpatient population, including CAD and AMI casesTypical caseload is 1-3 cases per dayProcedures include left heart catheterizations, stent placements, ICD and pacemaker insertions8-hour day shifts from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM plus call requirementsCall required 1-2 nights per week, 1 weekend per month, and rotating holidays; call covers three campuses30-minute call response time required to the home campusFloating may be required to nearby campuses as neededUses Epic EMR, Siemens Cath, Siemens Sensis, Apollo, and Phillips IVUS equipmentHospital-supplied scrubs are requiredDuties include scrubbing to assist physicians, monitoring patients, and documenting cases in the cath labTravelers will receive orientation at all three campuses, with each orientation lasting 1-3 daysArtificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply can result in termination of contractSupervision is provided by an on-site lab supervisorCandidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit facility within the past yearA 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility, determined by permanent address on driver's licenseSet daily schedule with limited self-scheduling for call shiftsMust be able to meet 30-minute call response time to the home campusRequirements
Minimum of 2 years recent experience in cardiac cath labCurrent ARRT or RCIS certification is requiredCurrent BLS certification is requiredActive state or compact licensure is required for consideration; license required if applicableExperience in scrubbing, assisting MDs, monitoring, and documentation of cath lab casesExperience with left heart caths, stent placements, ICD, and pacemaker proceduresPrevious travel experience preferred but not requiredMust provide a copy of driver's license for permanent address verificationTwo professional references : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehireBenefits
