Sr. API Developer / Tech Lead

Job Summary (List Format) :

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of high-quality APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, architects, developers) to define API specifications and requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the API development team.
• Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and maintainable, following best practices and industry standards.
• Monitor and optimize API performance, making necessary improvements.
• Stay current with emerging API technologies and trends, integrating advancements as appropriate.
• Promote API-first principles throughout the organization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex API integration and functionality issues.
• Document API designs, processes, and usage guidelines for stakeholders.
• Utilize expertise in REST, GraphQL, Node.js, TypeScript, and API management platforms (e.g., Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway).
• Apply knowledge of security protocols, cloud services (AWS, Terraform), and DevOps practices (CI / CD, automation).
• Must be local to NC; hybrid work arrangement; W2 only, no sponsorship available.
