Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified First Assist – CVOR to join our skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room team in Las Vegas, NV . This position plays a vital role in providing advanced surgical assistance during open-heart procedures, including vein harvesting and cardiovascular surgical support .

Key Responsibilities

Provide intraoperative support including exposure, hemostasis, suturing, and other technical functions.

Assist with saphenous vein harvesting and cardiovascular surgical procedures .

Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure compliance with surgical safety standards.

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care.

Participate in the on-call rotation (1 day per week and 1 weekend per month).

Qualifications : Qualifications

Required :

Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) .

Current certification as a Surgical First Assistant from a nationally accredited agency.

High school diploma or equivalent.

BLS certification (Basic Life Support).

Recent experience in CVOR and vein harvesting .

Proven open-heart surgery experience.

Preferred :

Acute clinical care background.

Cardiothoracic surgery experience.

Competitive pay : $44.43 – $66.61 / hour (based on experience)
