Job Summary :

Assembles, cuts, and grinds metal structural parts to include plates, bulkheads, strong backs, turnbuckles, and come-along. Aligns parts in relation to each other. Tacks and welds foundation and structural members. Performs lay out work according to blueprints or reference lines. Marks location of holes to be drilled, drives wedges and installs temporary fasteners to hold part in place for welding. Performs other related tasks as assigned.

General housekeeping in work areas. May be required to attend safety, quality and / or process improvement meetings.

Environmental Factors :

Exposure to fumes, odors, dust, gases, various climates and temperatures, and low ventilation conditions, all of which can cause discomfort and / or respiratory difficulties. Exposure to constantly moving machines, mechanical parts, and high levels of constant noise.
