Beverage Manager/Sommelier
Job Summary
We are looking for a Sommelier / Beverage Manager for our luxury hotel. You need to be comfortable training and developing the staff and selling wine in the restaurants on a daily basis.
Knowledge, personality, and the ability to come up with fresh ideas for the restaurant will be key.
Sommelier / Beverage Manager Responsibilities :
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ensure all operations in the FOH are optimal and executed to plan
- Maintaining high levels of food quality, hygiene, and consistency
- Support the team to execute tasks on time with enthusiasm
- Mentoring and teaching others techniques
- Ability to manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge while promoting culture and values
- Experience with creating wine pairings and dynamic, nightclub-worthy cocktail program
- Comply with all county and state laws governing food service operations
Sommelier / Beverage Manager Requirements :
- 3+ years of Upscale High Volume Restaurants or within Luxury Hotel
- High energy, takes initiative, and has a strong sense of urgency
- Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
- Must be passionate about cleanliness and food safety
- Must be highly organized and communicate well up and down the chain of command
- Open to working days, nights, and weekends
