What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and residents by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity.

Document and report incidents, observations, and interactions according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Assist shelter staff and residents as needed while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter disruptions.

Communicate clearly and respectfully with all individuals on site, supporting a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 21 years of age.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
