The Manufacturing Team Lead is responsible for providing daily direction, support, and guidance to team members. This role focuses on identifying and resolving problems at work centers while maintaining daily scheduling processes and ensuring adherence to team standards.
The Team Lead will play a key role in driving performance against key metrics through active engagement and continuous improvement efforts. Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with team members and peers to ensure goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Generating reports, track and report out on work center metrics
- Coordinating daily shift meetings across 3 shifts
- Identifying non-standard conditions
- Setting daily work center schedules
- Resolving issues impacting daily production schedule
- Responsible for flow of materials
- Auditing performance and behavior of Team Members
- Enforcing safety, quality, productivity expectations
- Managing daily staffing requirements and coverage
- Training and / or coordinating training
- Periodically operate equipment and machines in work centers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience leading or developing employeesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand / walk for the majority of the workdayProficiency in Microsoft Office programs and other supporting systemsStrong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively train and work in a team environmentExperience with lean manufacturing tools and implementationFlexibility to work overtime as neededAbout Us
