GamesaRenewable Energy is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to performall necessary activities to process various payrolls while workingwith the field offices to audit and input employment changesincluding benefits taxation and time files.
The ideal candidatewill have experience processing multistate payrolls of variousfrequencies (i.e. weekly biweekly) in the United States andCanada.
Responsibilities
Responsible to scrub through all time submitted to ensure properpayroll processing
Responsible for leading Absenceadministration including Paid Leaves and Paid Time Off
Identify any trouble issues in payroll and work with the respectiveorganizations to get the items corrected before the payrolldeadline
Perform any necessary audits on timesheetswithin the system to correct inaccurate hours time typesetc.
Work directly with global Workday Time &Attendance and Absence teams to troubleshoot items as well as testnew functionality
Liaison for problem resolution foremployees in regards to payroll. Payroll Specialist is the firstline of troubleshooting before sending issue to Workday forprogramming corrections or payroll provider for true paymentissues.
Assist in facilitating issues with timeadministrators (Field Administrative Services team)
Review and processing of all payrollrelated tickets in a timelymanner while ensuring appropriate backup documentation accuracy andobtaining necessary approvals as required.
Maintainemployee confidence and protect payroll operations by keepinginformation confidential.
Review exception reporting todetect and resolve incorrect payroll payments
Prepareprocess and track wage garnishments and child supportorders.
Engage in adhoc new projects
Conductaudits of data changes and requests to ensure compliancy withcompany policy and practices
Ability to track vacationand sick time accruals according to state labor laws and companypolicy
Perform all duties with integrity accuracytimeliness and customerservice orientation

RequiredKnowledge / Skills Education and Experience :
BachelorsDegree with 5 years of multistate payroll experience performing theessential payroll functions; 8 years in lieu of degree
Advanced MS Excel Skills
Must have strong attention todetail and the ability to accurately deliver in a fastpacedenvironment
Understanding of IRS guidelines for Pre andPost tax deductions
Understanding of IRS compliance andlimitations
SelfStarter and is able to accomplishexpected tasks with minimal supervision
Ability tomultitask and maintain composure under pressure.
Musthave the ability to exercise a high level of diplomacy and tact;excellent customer services and interpersonal communication skills;
Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work with diversegroups.
Demonstrated proficiency in analyzingInformation financial reporting conflict resolution applicablestate and federal laws
Detail oriented and strongorganizational skills
Ability to anticipate work needsand follow through on own initiative with minimumdirection
