Job description

Chief Engineer

As Chief Engineer youll lead the maintenance and engineering operations of the property ensuring all building systems equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently. Youll manage a team oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with safety and brand standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining a well-functioning guest-ready environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be the backbone of our hotels operations ensuring all systems and equipment run smoothly for our guests comfort and safety.
  • Your daily tasks will include managing maintenance staff overseeing repairs and upgrades and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes.
  • You will report to the General Manager.
  • Starting as a chief engineer can lead to a variety of opportunities within the hospitality industry such as regional engineering director director of rooms or even a corporate-level position in hotel operations.

Education & Experience

  • A college degree or two years of hotel experience
  • Previous experience in this exact position
  • Previous experience in a similar or related position
  • A combination of education and experience

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to sit stand bend kneel and lift as requiredwith or without reasonable accommodations
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays if needed
