IT Manager
The IT Manager is responsible for verifying the IT landscape supports the property business goals safely, securely, and effectively. This integral role demonstrates key information technology and computer science skills which enhance escalated support for property IT infrastructure and hardware, including repairs, installations, maintenance of systems for designated property / properties. The IT Manager assists the Area IT Manager to identify and forecast future technology needs and provides input into budgetary proposals for capital expenditures. A key responsibility of the IT Manager is to collaborate with various technology vendors to validate that property IT solutions meet the needs of guests, associates, owners and property leaders.
Candidate must reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
The IT Manager manages technology needs within budget targets. Assists and / or provides input to IT Leadership for capital expenditures (CAPEX) and department operating budget based on anticipated IT projects and property requirements, including anticipated ROI on technology investments. Analyzes and assesses current IT landscape on property and prepares estimate for necessary technology upgrades and improvements to meet those business needs. Evaluates and verifies that each area of responsibility is in compliance with appropriate Marriott International Policies (MIPs). Implements solutions as directed to resolve IT discrepancies. Orders required equipment as directed relating to personal computers, telecommunications, local servers and networks, and processes vendor invoices. Conducts periodic inventories of applications and hardware; prepares reports for property management as requested. Analyzes and validates that technology assets are secured; documents and escalates all identified security risks in accordance with applicable MIP. Complies with technology-related vendor contracts.
Builds and sustains relationships by writing and presenting proposals, analyses, project plans, cost models, etc. in written and / or oral formats. Provides customer service to property leadership and associates at dedicated property / properties. Responds to inquiries from customers / vendors / peer group. Provides detailed status reports as requested, coordinates 3rd party vendor management, and escalation support. Ensures client Technology needs are met. Assists in disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology. Provides technical guidance for assigned locations. Escalates support for all Marriott approved technology solutions (i.e. mobility devices, GPNS) & Request Center Processes through Tier Escalation process). Provides escalation and guidance to property pertaining to guest & associate internet access requirement. Escalates problems as appropriate through direct supervisor, US / Can IT Field and / or Global IT resources. Images desktops, installs new software applications, applies patches, maps drives to appropriate servers and / or networks. Moves / adds / changes PCs / peripherals, migrating data when necessary. Performs routine desktop backup as scheduled or directed. Provides end-user support. Confirms technology security (i.e. encryption, patch deployment) and technology compliance (i.e. Quarterly audit measures are in place). Supports unit infrastructure (servers, switches, router, APs etc.) and engages appropriate MI IT and / or vendor resources. Assists in creating and maintaining secure server environment. Performs server backups and routine preventative maintenance. Provides project support for corporate, regional and property initiatives. Executes IT Hotel projects and manages vendor installations. Conducts quarterly and annual IT audit and provides plan and recommendations to remediate any deficiencies identified during the process. Provides guidance on compliance with Marriott IT and Security Standards.
