Position Summary
The Fabrication Supervisor leads daily operations within the PCB fabrication department, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety objectives are consistently met. This position provides hands-on leadership to a team of fabrication operators and technicians while maintaining high levels of precision, compliance, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of PCB and CNC fabrication processes with proven leadership and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Plan, assign, and monitor workloads to ensure efficient use of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Oversee departmental processes, ensuring adherence to work instructions, travelers, and specifications.
- Support complex setups, troubleshooting, and process improvements to maintain consistent product quality.
- Inspect in-process and finished work for accuracy, conformance, and workmanship.
- Identify and resolve process deviations in coordination with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records, including production logs, inspection results, and training documentation.
- Enforce safety protocols, proper material handling, and workplace organization standards.
- Train, coach, and evaluate employees to build technical skills, encourage cross-training, and support career growth.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, ISO / AS9100, OSHA, and ITAR requirements.
- Foster a professional, collaborative, and accountable work environment through positive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the PCB industry or related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.Strong understanding of production processes, equipment operation, and quality control standards.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and work instructions.Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, ERP / MES systems).Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments and shifts.Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed to support production goals.Physical & Environmental Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, and handling of materials throughout the shift.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. safely using proper technique.Exposure to moderate noise, heat, and manufacturing chemicals within OSHA and company safety guidelines.Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and respirators as applicable.Winonics is an ITAR-compliant facility, and all employees must meet ITAR eligibility requirements.
