Job description

Overview

Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Manager, Strategic Accounts for Shockwave Medical Inc. located in Washington, DC / Philadelphia, PA. The role supports the development and commercialization of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease and aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic disease.

Position highlights : focus on strategic account management, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership across customer teams to drive business growth.

Position Overview

The Manager, Strategic Account drives business growth through developing strategically aligned relationships with customers while providing leadership across customer teams and projects. Establishes and implements cost-effective, results-based, and professionally managed programs and innovative initiatives for the organization and delivers impactful business insights to solidify our competitive advantage.

Essential Job Functions

  • Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with key hospital-level customers.
  • Execute initiatives aligning strategy from IDN level to hospital / account level.
  • Drive innovative solutions and partnerships within targeted accounts and customers.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders and teams to increase prospects and close opportunities.
  • Navigate VAC approval process for new products and influence VAC members.
  • Anticipate customer needs, marketplace evolutions, and competitive threats.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams for overall strategy, marketing content creation, and external tactics.
  • Manage multiple priorities to advance business strategies.
  • Identify and manage relationships with influential individuals in the cardiovascular interventional space and foster long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Measure and assess the impact of Key Opinion Leader engagements and convey results to cross-functional teams to refine market access strategies.
  • Articulate the full value proposition (clinical, reimbursement, health economics, and pricing) of Shockwave Medical to Key Strategic Accounts.
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and the ability to discuss clinically with physicians at a high level.
  • Maintain company standards of ethical conduct while representing the company.
  • Comply with corporate compliance, FDA, medical device, quality standards, and ethics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience as a territory manager in medical devices (cardiovascular interventional space preferred).
  • Successful sales experience in catheter technology with occlusive vascular disease; endovascular, atherectomy, stent, and coronary sales experience with peripheral influence is preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of contracting processes and VAC process.
  • Strong selling principles, influencing skills, and judgment.
  • Ability to independently manage time and resources within assigned strategic accounts.
  • Must not be debarred by FDA for work in any Medical Device business.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license; up to 50% domestic travel.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently with flexibility to changing requirements.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting may be required.
  • Pay Transparency

  • The base pay range for this position is $91,000-$165,000.
  • Company maintains a competitive sales incentive compensation program; eligible to participate according to plan terms.
  • Car allowance available through the Fleet program.
  • Employees and eligible dependents may participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and other benefits.
  • Employees may be eligible to participate in the company’s retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
  • Time off benefits include Vacation (up to 120 hours / year), Sick time (up to 40 hours / year; higher in WA), Holiday pay and Floating Holidays (up to 13 days / year), and Work, Personal and Family Time (up to 40 hours / year).
