Electrical Engineer, Data Center Regional Engineering

In this role, you will collaborate with business development, design engineers, operations professionals, vendors, and consultants to identify colocation facilities that align with our business objectives.

As part of your responsibilities, you will :

• Conduct thorough site assessments against AWS standards for colocation data centers and telecommunications facilities.
• Review and analyze vendor critical infrastructure designs, conducting risk assessments to determine their suitability for AWS cloud services.
• Perform design and equipment submittal reviews for new data centers.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and generate Corrective Action (CA) documentation.
• Support operations with ad-hoc training and procedural reviews for critical equipment.
• Lead design initiatives for upgrades to current data centers, enhancing capacity, availability, and efficiency.
• Interface with the data center design team and other internal stakeholders to uphold consistent service standards.
• Manage multiple projects across various geographic regions.
• Initiate and lead engineering site audits within both AWS-owned and colocation data centers.
• Act as a resident engineer during new construction projects, providing support through to commissioning and turnover.

In this role, you will need :

The base pay for this position ranges from $105,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is based on market location and varies depending on your skills, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package.
