We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef for our newly opened fine dining steakhouse. We are currently focused on candidates with at least three years of New York City kitchen leadership experience.

Works with the management team to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals at the restaurant levelParticipates in weekly manager meetingsEnsures consistent execution of food, service, and hospitality that aligns with our valuesProactively manages costs in conjunction with the Chef, with an eye on the daily & weekly projections and budgetsEnsures that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed by the entire restaurant teamMinimum of 2+ years experience in a senior management positionA passion for excellence in hospitalityNYC Food Protection Certificate (Food Handlers) requiredProficiency in a variety of technology systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and POSAbility to effectively solve and deal with a variety of changing situations under stressSelf-driven, results-oriented, and proactive attitudeA solid track record of leading high-caliber serviceFlexible work schedules : the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permitsThe ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbsKneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
