Travel RN – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Location : Albany, NY

Assignment Length : 13 Weeks

Start Date :  ASAP

Shift : 9 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM

Weekends : Every other weekend

Holidays : Rotating

Position Summary :

A facility in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Travel RN for their PACU night shift. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years PACU or perioperative nursing experience , with strong clinical skills to manage post-anesthesia patients safely overnight.

Responsibilities :

Provide direct patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, recognizing complications and adverse reactions

Administer medications, fluids, and treatments per physician orders

Document patient care accurately in Epic

Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure patient safety and quality care

Follow hospital protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines

Requirements :

Minimum 2 years PACU experience

Epic experience required

Ability to work every other weekend and rotating holidays

Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
