A day shaping precision
From the first machine warm-up to the final inspection, you’ll lead hands-on diamond CNC operations that keep production on time and on spec. You’ll set up and run multi‑axis equipment, keep diamond tools performing at their best, and partner with the department supervisor to balance customer demand, machine utilization, and workload across the team.
What you will do
- Operate diamond CNC machinery in alignment with production schedules and specifications.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain diamond tooling; braze tools following approved procedures.
- Coordinate with the department supervisor on resource allocation, priorities, and throughput.
- Train, mentor, and support teammates; respond to individual needs and foster development.
- Perform in‑process and final quality checks; act as a go‑to resource for quality questions.
- Document tooling data and machine operations accurately and completely.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.Technical capabilities
Proficiency with multi‑axis CNC equipment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.Skilled with precision metrology tools : micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and more.Strong mathematical fluency with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Solid understanding of manufacturing safety and housekeeping practices.Training and growth
Complete all required safety and compliance training.Cross‑train in at least one additional function.Participate in continuous improvement and skill‑building initiatives.Analytical and problem‑solving
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide across all units of measure; confidently use fractions and decimals for tool calculations.Diagnose issues using data; interpret complex instructions, drawings, and specifications.Physical demands and environment
