PCA / Clerical Coordinator FT Nights Inpatient Surgical Unit

Job Title

Saint Mary's Hospital's Inpatient Surgery Department is a 23-bed unit that provides care for various types of surgeries pre and post operatively. Surgical procedures include but not limited to bariatric, orthopedic, ortho-trauma, neuro-spine, mastectomies, urological, gynecological, and gastroenterology surgeries.

What You Will Do :

• Regularly assist with patient care, including vital sign monitoring and recording measurements in patients' charts
• Provide ambulatory support to patients, assisting with walking, showers, and other prescribed therapies
• The PCA / Clerical Coordinator will assist with the unit's clerical responsibility including :
• Welcome patients and visitors to the unit
• Coordinate appointment scheduling and collaborate with healthcare providers
• Organize and maintain patient records and files
• Handle phone calls to and from the unit
• Facilitate patient transfers to / from the unit
• Manage office and medical supplies for the unit
