Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current ARRT, BLS, and TMB certifications to work independently in a busy Level I Trauma ED.
Responsibilities
Position is based in a Level I Trauma emergency departmentWork with a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatric patientsShift schedule is 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AMRole may require floating to related units as neededPosition involves performing a full range of radiology procedures as orderedDuties include performing high quality radiology procedures, following established protocols and safety standardsCommunicate and instruct patients and families to ensure understanding of proceduresMaintain and operate radiologic equipment and report issues as neededAdhere to infection control and sterile technique protocols during proceduresProper documentation and maintenance of medical imaging records is expectedMay be required to serve as a preceptor for new staff or on new servicesScrub color of choice is allowed except denimReturning travelers who were previously permanent employees must have their eligibility verified prior to considerationRequirements
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technologist, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced settingActive ARRT and TMB certifications, and American Heart Association BLS requiredCurrent Texas license required if applicableExperience in a high-acuity, trauma-level environment is requiredFlu vaccination is mandatory during flu season with no exemptionsTwo professional references are required for considerationMust live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility; local candidates are not acceptedBenefits
