COMPANY DESCRIPITON :
Drummac, Inc. is an integrated railroad services company that specializes in providing mechanical and janitorial services to the transportation industry.
With operations located across the United States, the services we perform range in scope from routine mechanical maintenance, inspections, repairs, audits, cleaning, and specialty railroad services to providing equipment and supplies for the transportation industry with a niche in passenger rail.
We provide these services using in-house resources, enabling exceptional quality control enjoyed by few companies in our industry.
JOB SUMMARY :
The General Laborer will support our Passenger Rail Mechanics, maintaining and repairing passenger rail cars and locomotives, while helping to ensure a clean and orderly workplace.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform cleaning, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical components
- Assist with repairs and overhauls of passenger railcars and locomotives
- Operate forklifts, oil pumps and overhead cranes (with required training)
- Help to maintain the work area, including general cleaning and disposal tasks
- Document and offload components and supplies, and track the inventory
- Loads trucks with outgoing components and parts, and perform recordkeeping
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills)
- Familiarity and skill with use of hand tools is preferred
- Positive work history / personnel record
- Operating a forklift is a plus
- Must have good communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license is required
- Ability to work flexible schedules, with overtime potential
- Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process
