Position description

The Department of Sociology at the University of California, Davis, offers temporary Lecturer positions to teach undergraduate courses during the 2025-2026 academic year. These positions are dependent upon the instructional needs of the department and may be full- or part-time.

APPOINTMENT DATES : Assignments vary according to type of course and percentage of appointment. Service periods are :

Fall Quarter 2025 : September 22 - December 12

Winter Quarter 2026 : January 2 - March 20

Spring Quarter 2026 : March 30 - June 11

QUALIFICATIONS : Demonstrated experience in teaching at the college level, and advanced degree in Sociology or related discipline is required.

SALARY : This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement (Unit 18). The annual salary rate for this position is $70,977.00, and is commensurate with percentage of appointment.
