You step onto the floor, rally your crew, and orchestrate maintenance priorities that keep steel production, casting, and finishing running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-volume, 24 / 7 environment where your decisions protect reliability and minimize downtime.
What You’ll Do
- Direct and support an electrical maintenance team during your coverage period to meet production demands.
- Ensure safe, effective maintenance and operation of plant power distribution, controls, and electrical equipment.
- Plan, coordinate, and sequence preventive and corrective work to reduce interruptions and optimize uptime.
- Diagnose and repair issues with PLCs, AC / DC motors, VFDs, and both low- and high-voltage systems.
- Uphold electrical codes, company safety policies, and preventive maintenance standards.
- Partner closely with operations, mechanical, and reliability teams to hit performance goals.
- Coach, train, and mentor electricians and apprentices to build depth and capability.
What You Bring
5+ years in industrial electrical or maintenance roles—ideally within steel, foundry, power generation, or heavy manufacturing.Expertise with motors, drives, PLC platforms, and high-voltage distribution.Proven experience leading teams or supervising craft personnel.Exceptional troubleshooting ability along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.A relentless commitment to safety and continuous improvement.Why This Role Stands Out
