Senior Accountant Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team. The ideal Senior Accountant will have experience working in a multi-entity environment-such as a CPA firm servicing multiple clients or a company supporting multiple legal entities-and will be comfortable managing full-cycle accounting responsibilities across those entities. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
Lead full-cycle accounting for multiple entities including but not limited to : journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, fixed assets, prepaids / accruals, inter-company eliminations and uploads.
Drive the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes for each entity : prepare / review journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze fluctuations, and collaborate with business units on results and variances.
Manage and maintain the general ledger structure and chart of accounts across the entities; ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded and eliminated when required.
Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audit support, tax return preparation, financial statement schedules and regulatory / GAAP compliance.
Provide support for budgeting, forecasting and business-unit financial modeling; partner with operations leadership to interpret the financials and support strategic decision-making.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities and tooling enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-entity environment (either in a public accounting firm supporting multiple clients / entities or a privately held organization with multiple business units or subsidiaries).
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting practices (journal entries, accruals / prepaids, fixed assets, inter-company accounting, reconciliations).
Proven experience closing the books and preparing financial statements for multiple entities and / or consolidated entities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including functions, pivot tables, lookups) and comfortable learning new ERP / GL systems.
Excellent analytical and investigative skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and strong organizational / time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills-able to convey accounting issues to non-financial stakeholders.
Self-starter attitude; proactive in identifying issues and driving improvements.
