The Overall purpose of the Learning and Development Manager is a role model of training, best practice, coaching and facilitation with a focus on Management and Leadership development. The role plans, creates and delivers first class training and development solutions across the Learning & Development curriculum to support the growth of the company. The Learning and Development Manager fully equips every employee with the skills, knowledge and attitude to consistently fulfil every part of their job description. There is a constant need to update all required employee learning in line with company changes and standards updates. Each Learning and Development Manager is responsible for specific ‘champion areas’ i.e. they manage key aspects of the company’s curriculum, designs, develops, facilitates, updates, maintains and reviews specified courses, workbooks, quizzes, trackers, KPIs and all related training materials.
Scope of Role
- To motivate and inspire employees with an outgoing and upbeat personality
- To fully understand and be confident to deliver the current and future graduation process and support with any in-shop monitoring, coaching and support as identified (check ins, shop visits and employee graduations)
- Ability to review skill gaps and plan to improve performance
- To own a specified number of pathways through design and development, facilitation, review and evaluation.
- To complete workshop review every 3 months to ensure consistency, relevance and ensure new changes are captured. Amends to material should be communicated to the Director Learning and Development along with the expected timeline for updates. All modules and journals should be limited to yearly amends, and reviewed with stakeholders (HR, Finance, Safety, Global)
- To ensure all training solutions are in line with the company Values and are fit for purpose.
- Identifying gaps in the business based on your monthly targets and come up with ideas to improve them
- To attend all cascades as needed and review all communications from franchise and company.
- To be able to facilitate leadership workshops to senior leadership as required
Additional Responsibilities
To work towards Academy KPI’s which identify the Academy success and ROI to the business. These include course frequency, attendance, time to graduation, graduation success rate and others determined by business needs.To be able to LEAD specified NSO (New Shop Openings) training in-line with current NSO needs as required.To develop and launch ‘one-off’ events in line with specific business initiatives as appropriate as requested by the Director of L & D.To attend the required number of Buddy Days in a designated shop.Domestic travel required up to 25%Essential Skills / Knowledge
