Join a patient-focused healthcare practice as our Medical Receptionist . You’ll be the first point of contact—welcoming patients, managing check-in / out, scheduling, and insurance verification—while protecting PHI and keeping the front office running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Greet patients warmly; check in / out and confirm demographics
Verify and enter insurance accurately; collect copays / self-pay & post receipts
Answer phones / voicemails promptly; provide basic info and route messages
Schedule / reschedule new and established patients (in person & by phone)
Monitor patient flow; communicate delays with patients and clinical staff
Maintain tidy, organized front office; complete general admin tasks
Uphold privacy standards and HIPAA compliance at all times
Required Qualifications
MediClear or equivalent HIPAA credential (required)
1+ year experience in a medical office / front desk role preferred
Proficient with computers / EMR; fast, accurate data entry
Clear, professional verbal and written communication; strong customer service
High attention to detail; able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Able to handle confidential / sensitive information with discretion
Preferred
Prior experience scheduling patients and working with insurance verification
