Job Summary :
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in managing customer enrollment and payment operations for the Flexible Pricing Rate Pilot at one of California’s leading electric utilities. This position involves processing and validating enrollment forms, coordinating with third-party suppliers, overseeing manual payments, and maintaining precise reporting metrics to ensure operational accuracy and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume data and payment workflows in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage customer enrollment and payment operations for the Flexible Pricing Rate Pilot program.
Receive, validate, and process enrollment forms from account managers.
Submit eligible customers to third-party suppliers and confirm enrollment status with stakeholders.
Oversee manual enrollment for Automation Service Providers and maintain detailed performance metrics.
Track and report enrollment activity, including customer counts, megawatt participation, and benefit categorization.
Manage manual payment processing , including reconciliation and contractor / third-party payment facilitation.
Maintain accurate reports on enrollment, billing, and customer program performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve issues and streamline processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
Support data analysis, dashboarding, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline.
4+ years of experience in business analysis or program operations .
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access , or similar analytical tools for tracking and reporting.
Understanding of payment processing and reconciliation workflows.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in form validation and data management.
Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications :
Experience with utility customer programs, billing, or regulatory environments .
Familiarity with SAP systems.
Experience with SAS, Power BI , or similar advanced analytical tools.
Background in budget tracking or financial reporting.
Ability to analyze large datasets (hundreds of thousands of records) using pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
Strong ability to identify data trends and propose informed solutions.
Comfortable in fast-paced, deadline-driven projects.
