Key Responsibilities :
- Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation with precision and efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate financial records.
- Organize and route invoices for review and approval, adhering to established protocols.
- Code and enter invoices and disbursement requests accurately into the appropriate general ledger accounts, departments, divisions, and product lines.
- Process disbursements, including checks and ACH transfers, in a timely manner.
- Prioritize disbursements based on cash discount potential and payment terms to optimize financial efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor master data and records to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Reconcile and process company card expenses accurately and efficiently.
- Address inquiries from vendors, plants, and other internal departments promptly and professionally.
- Assist with additional duties and projects as assigned to support the finance team.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Proven experience in accounts payable or similar roles, demonstrating proficiency in relevant tasks.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient typing speed.
- General math skills and the ability to apply unit of measure conversions to quantities and prices accurately.
