System Support Engineer
Location : Pleasanton, CA (Onsite)
Duration : 6 months, with potential extensions up to 3 years based on performance
Schedule : Monday–Friday, standard business hours

Overview
We are seeking a System Support Engineer to join the R&D Services team. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical and operational support for diagnostic laboratory instruments used in molecular testing within an R&D environment. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized individual who can balance daily priorities and communicate effectively with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support instrument lifecycle activities, including qualification, maintenance, and documentation.
- Ship, track, and reintroduce instruments for repair or redeployment.
- Record and maintain accurate data within equipment management and document control systems.
- Label and track equipment status (e.g., GxP vs. non-GxP) according to internal standards.
- Participate in daily meetings and proactively update leads on progress and priorities.
- Collaborate with lab supervisors to maintain compliance and safety best practices.
- Provide professional and timely internal customer support.
Must-Have Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training.1–2 years of experience in instrument or systems support .Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Proficiency in learning new tools and software systems.Flexible, self-motivated, and able to manage shifting priorities.Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.1+ years of hands-on experience in the medical device or diagnostics industry .Familiarity with molecular diagnostic instruments and laboratory workflows.Knowledge of QSR / IVDD requirements and general equipment maintenance practices.Comfortable using hand tools and performing minor technical adjustments.Why Join
