Role : Manufacturing Engineer - Lean / CI 🏭

Champion lean manufacturing principles and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost while focusing on innovative Battery Cabinet products—sheet metal enclosures with electrical and electronic systems inside. This is a KEY CONTRIBUTOR role where you'll be part of meetings with leadership including the President to understand company goals, prioritize projects, define KPIs, and discuss customer needs in a collaborative environment where there are no walls between departments. Own and lead continuous improvement initiatives, plan and facilitate Kaizen events, and provide hands-on support on the production floor to troubleshoot and resolve process or assembly issues with custom made-to-order assembly.
Requirements : 🎓
✅ Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
✅ 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement role
✅ Proven experience leading Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing initiatives
✅ Strong knowledge of lean principles including Kaizen, standard work, 5S, and root cause analysis
✅ Knowledge of sheet metal and / or circuit board assembly preferred
✅ Familiarity with weld, paint, and assembly operations highly preferred
✅ Proficiency with data analysis, time studies, and process mapping
✅ CAD knowledge preferred
✅ Experience with lean tools : 5S, visual management, Poka-Yoke methodology
✅ Ability to collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams
✅ Experience with process standardization, layout optimization, and workflow efficiency
✅ Hands-on approach with willingness to work on plant floor solving assembly and quality issues
