Position Overview
Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a building's functionality, ensuring its safety, cleanliness, and maintenance by managing routine repairs, coordinating with contractors, supervising staff, and planning long-term improvements to meet the needs of occupants, all while adhering to budget constraints and compliance regulations; key duties include conducting safety inspections, managing building systems like HVAC, and coordinating space management within the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs :
Overseeing routine maintenance tasks, scheduling repairs, managing contracts with external vendors, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Budget Management :
Developing and managing the facilities budget, tracking expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and utilities.
Staff Supervision :
Hiring, training, and supervising cleaning crews, maintenance technicians, and other facility staff.
Space Management :
Planning and assigning office space, managing room utilization, and coordinating reconfigurations as needed.
Building Systems Management :
Overseeing the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building utilities.
Reporting and Documentation :
Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and compliance documentation.
