Practices within the acute care, adult inpatient units including the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Cardiac Telemetry, Medical, & Surgical Inpatient Services.

Essential Job Duties : Performs complex patient care procedures, staff and patient education, research consultation, and contributes to approved research projects.

Participates in evaluation of new products / techniques / innovation based on practice trends and development of standards, policies, techniques, and protocols for the complex, high risk, acute care, and adult inpatient.

Researches best practices; partners with the healthcare team to define and implement evidenced-based practice and clinical research at the bedside.

Qualifications1 year of directly related RN experience in acute care area of specialty or an appropriate equivalent requiredRegistered Nurse with current California RN licenseRecent, appropriate nursing practice within the past four years or completion of an approved refresher courseCurrent BLS certificationCurrent ACLS certificationCurrent, nationally recognized, specialty certification in wound / ostomy care or an appropriate equivalent required.
