Order Entry Supervisor

The Front End Supervisor oversees and supervises the obtainment of patient and order information. Enters the information into the order entry system.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manages the complete entry of physician information into the system.

Oversees the entry of new medication orders and refills.

Supervises the sorting of orders obtained from fax machines.

Coordinates and manages the preparation of invoices, shipping documents.

Receives and responds to escalated customer complaints and / or issues.

Reviews and verifies customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.

Directs specified departments to prepare and ship orders to designated locations.

Checks inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.

Supervises the review of orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forwards incomplete orders for further processing.

Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records.

Minimal travel including overnight stay as necessary.

Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.

Supports facilities, departmental goals and the overall objectives of the Company.

Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.

Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.

Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards.

Position Overview

High School degree or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.

Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred

Experience

Three (3) to five (5) years order entry, sales, or service center experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.

Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.

Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
