Patient Flow Administrator (RN)

Position Summary :

The Patient Flow Administrator (RN) plays a critical role in managing and optimizing patient movement throughout the hospital. This position ensures safe efficient and timely admission transfer and discharge processes to support quality patient care and maximize bed utilization. The role requires a dynamic and organized Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced behavioral healthcare environment and demonstrates exceptional communication collaboration and clinical decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily patient census and coordinate admissions transfers and discharges to maintain optimal patient flow and bed utilization.
• Collaborate with community partners intake nursing clinical and medical teams to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Evaluate clinical acuity and staffing levels to align patient placement with appropriate care resources.
• Serve as the central liaison for patient flow coordination between departments and leadership.
• Monitor and analyze patient flow data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards related to patient care and hospital operations.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff in decision-making related to patient placement and acuity management.
• Participate in hospital-wide initiatives related to throughput safety and performance improvement.
