Description
Must be able to travel to and within the assigned sales territory, call on all accounts according to daily sales route, receive and transmit orders through the technology provided. The customer base is a combination of Specialty Wine and Beer retailers, package stores, Event centers, and Specialty Retailers. The Sales Representative is required to meet all sales goals for wine, beer, and non-alcoholic products within the assigned territory.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Regularly service assigned accounts within a specific territory, promoting and selling the full range of Alabama Crown products.
- Develop, maintain, and expand existing brands by :
- Delivering expert sales presentations
- Coordinating promotions and seminars
- Conducting product sampling and staff training
- Maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with accounts by understanding their needs and identifying new sales opportunities through regular inventory and store surveys.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, including targets for :
- New product distribution
- Shelf and cold box placement
- In-store displays and promotional executions
- Promote periodic pricing programs and stay informed on market trends and competitor activity.
- Maintain a weekly itinerary and structured route plan to ensure timely and efficient coverage of all assigned accounts.
- Ensure accurate order entry, assist with collections, and resolve account-related issues when needed.
- Communicate effectively with supplier partners to build and support their brands.
- Uphold Alabama Crown policies and procedures, keeping accurate account records, daily / monthly preplans, and route books.
- Be punctual and prepared for all meetings and contribute actively when required.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and remain adaptable in a fast-paced, constantly changing business environment.

Must be at least 21 years old. College degree preferred, however high school diploma or GED equivalent required. 2 years outside sales experience in the beverage industry (wholesaler, supplier, restaurant / fine dining, hotel preferred). Good oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of basic computer applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal communication, mathematical, time management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment. Must be able to lift 40lbs. Must possess a valid Alabama driver's license. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to maintain 100 / 300 / 100 insurance limitations. Background checks (i.e., police backgrounds, reference checks.) Motor vehicle record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility :
Cannot have more than two (2) : moving violations and / or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)Cannot have more than (1) : speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years.Cannot have a major violation such as : DUI / DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and / or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years.Drug free workplace.
