Accounts Payable Specialist

Ledgent, a Roth Staffing Company, is recruiting on behalf of our client located in the South Sacramento area.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team. This is a full-time opportunity with a company that values its employees and fosters a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities :

• Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile financial reports with account balances and records.
• Facilitate vendor payments, including verifying federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment; identify discount opportunities; issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
• Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
• Record and verify documentation for petty cash distribution.
• Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
• Stay current with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Support accounting and organizational goals by completing related tasks as needed.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and software applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

Compensation : $24 - $29 / hr DOE
