Responsibilities

• Assist stylists and work with them in developing your skills with clients and knowledge of the salon and services.
• Greet guests with professional and friendly greetings. Use eye contact and smile.
• Walk guests back and make them feel comfortable. Offer to put away their belongings.
• Engage the guests in a head, neck and shoulders massage and possibly hand massages.
• Arrive 15 min before the first scheduled client to prep for the day.
• Preview and troubleshoot the book / schedule before the start of the day.
• Make sure stations and color tables are clean for guests.
• Assist the stylists in making notes for their clients on the tickets.
• Mixing color and prepping color trays for the stylist.
• Engage and educate the guests on the process of their service (i.e. products, styling, etc)
• Review the day’s opportunities and learning / development that took place.
• Always be conscious of your attitude and tone when engaging with guests and co-workers.
• Attend classes and training in which you will further develop your knowledge on SRT and shampooing, thermal / iron work, color placement, color theory, haircutting, foil placement, updos / styling and more.
• Bring in models to showcase your knowledge and understanding of what has been taught in class.
