Licensed Veterinary Technician (ICU) Mid-Shift

Mid-Shift 11am - 8 : 30pm Monday-Thursday - No Weekends

As a referral-only clinic, we specialize in orthopedic procedures designed to restore comfort, mobility, and overall health for small animals.

Position Summary :

The LVT in the ICU is responsible for providing high-quality pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ICU Technician works collaboratively with veterinarians, fellow technicians, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities : ICU Patient Care

• Provide attentive and compassionate care for hospitalized surgical patients, with a focus on post-operative recovery and pain management.
• Perform treatments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress following established protocols.
• Assist with patient feeding, hydration, and mobility, ensuring dietary and rehabilitation requirements are met.
• Conduct rehabilitation and physical therapy treatments as prescribed, including :

Patient Monitoring and Treatment

Collaboration and Communication

Inventory and Equipment Management

This position requires working in a dynamic ICU setting, providing hands-on patient care while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Reporting Structure :

The ICU Technician reports directly to the Surgery Services Manager and ICU Lead and works closely with the Surgical Floor Leads to ensure seamless patient care.
