Qualifications :

Ability to read and follow instructions; some knowledge and experience with cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, wet / dry vacuum, snow blower, lawn mower, etc) and cleaning materials;

posses neat work habits; is polite and courteous to older adults; is a team worker; is willing to learn new skills.

Requirements :

Minimum 1 year experience, high school diploma / GED.

Responsibilities :

• Maintains cleanliness of grounds, lawns, lobby, corridors, community and office space, stairwells, etc.
• Cleans windows, carpets and floors as scheduled.
• Make minor repairs and replacements - (e.g. bulbs, minor electrical and plumbing chores)
• Reports all maintenance problems to Superintendent.
• Maintains compactor trash and garbage removal.
• Water shrubs; lawns as needed; snow removal, places skirts in elevators for move-ins and outs.
• Performs other tasks in keeping the requirements of cleanliness and sound maintenance procedures as determined by the building Superintendent.
• Clean all equipment utilized in performing work, immediately after use.
• Sets up chairs, tables, etc. for meeting and program functions.

• Must have full use of hands, arms to perform tasks.
• Able to move equipment which would include significant pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting.
• Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Able to walk quickly to / from job locations
• Able to regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and sometimes up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Able to read and understand task checklists.
• Able to speak to give other employees and guests verbal instructions.
• Able to perform work duties outside in varying weather conditions prevalent at the time including snow removal.
