Imagine starting your shift with a quick scan of the production floor. You listen to a motor, catch a subtle vibration, and trace it back to a root cause. Soon you’ve isolated the fault, sourced the part, and have the line humming again—all while documenting the work in the CMMS and coaching a junior tech who’s shadowing you. That’s a typical day here.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll handle mid- to advanced-level maintenance to keep manufacturing assets safe, reliable, and efficient :

• Diagnose equipment issues by observing operation, isolating root causes, dismantling assemblies, and inspecting components for wear or defects.
• Repair, rebuild, and recondition machine tools and equipment; adjust mechanisms and control instrumentation; replace defective parts; and verify performance through functional and electrical / mechanical testing.
• Independently execute preventive and corrective maintenance in line with industry standards.
• Identify, request, and source parts, supplies, and repair items to complete work efficiently.
• Set up and operate shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to fabricate / repair parts; perform welding when required.
• Troubleshoot control systems to resolve hardware, software, and configuration issues.
• Use predictive maintenance tools to gather performance data and anticipate failures.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping expectations to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Drive continuous improvement—contribute ideas, document results, and help capture cost savings.
• Update work orders and review equipment history in the CMMS to inform smarter maintenance decisions.
• Support and guide lower-level technicians; take on advanced tasks as part of your ongoing development.
• Engage in on-the-job learning and self-directed technical study to continue growing your capabilities.
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and technical instructions; practice situational awareness and actively address unsafe conditions or behaviors.

What You Bring

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

This position is hands-on in a factory setting. You will regularly stand and walk, use your hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands, and communicate verbally. You’ll climb, ascend / descend, and balance at heights that may require a ladder or lift; work in tight or confined spaces requiring stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and at times sit. You should be able to occasionally lift and move items over 50 pounds. Close and color vision are frequently required. You may occasionally encounter outdoor weather and electrical shock risk. The environment is typically loud, with potential exposure to hazardous materials and floors that may be greasy or slippery.
