Senior Human Resources Generalist
The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as the primary HR business partner for the Gaylord location's full manufacturing facility by providing HR guidance and support to plant management and employees at all levels. As a member of the plant's leadership team, this role contributes to the team's effectiveness and overall business strategies and direction. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Scope and Function :
- Serve as a strategic HR advisor to the plant at all levels
- Leads all recruitment activities including the use of temporary agencies and internships
- Review all company policies and procedures and advise on all changes necessary to ensure compliance with law, corporate policies, and business objectives
- Ensure all documentation complies with legal requirements
- Maintain all communications to employees, as needed, including the understanding of the handbook
- Coordinator of the Safety program and aid in driving a zero-incident culture
- Lead and manage HR projects with a continuous improvement mindset
- Manage timekeeping and payroll system
- Complete all required monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reporting
- Coordinate new employee orientation activities and on-boarding
- Support D&I strategies and employee experience
- Provide talent management expertise, including development planning, succession planning, coaching, and leadership development
- Maintain salary competitiveness through local research
- Provide training and support to leaders on topics such as performance management, employee relations, compliance matters and engagement
- Act as the Wellness Champion for corporate wellness initiatives
- Manage the annual United Way campaign
- Present employee benefits and support all employee concerns regarding benefits
- Work with third party administrator on all FMLA, STD, ADA, situations
- Ability to work outside of standard business hours as business demands
