Billing & Payroll Specialist

The Billing Coordinator is considered a non-exempt, safety sensitive position. The purpose is to ensure timely and accurate billing for TANDEM LIVING. This position will be performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• High School Diploma or equivalent with additional billing experience required.
• Prior experience is preferred in billing secondary insurance as it relates to Medicare and with the financial side of the Medical Assistance application and renewal process.
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

• Plans, organizes, delegates, and implements job responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy.
• Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with all staff; trains / teaches the billing requirements at Tandem Living.
• Completes Daily Census changes.
• Reviews and reconciles necessary reports to ensure billing accuracy.
• Performs the Collection process for outstanding accounts related to billing; Contacts third party billers to verify accurate billing of Medicare and Insurance billing.
• Works and meets with resident POAs concerning billing questions. Handles phone calls from residents.
