Job Summary :

Mission Health, partnered with TeamHealth , is seeking experienced physicians to join a highly skilled team within our state-of-the-art facility in Asheville, North Carolina.

About the Emergency Department :

• 94-bed ED
• Annual ED visits : 100,000+
• Daily APC coverage
• EMR : Cerner FirstNet
• Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Dedicated Pediatric ED
• 1.7 - 2.1 patients per hour
• Academic Affiliation : Yes, EM residents

The ED team is organized into pods based on acuity, allowing for a smooth workflow and efficient patient care. Our physicians work closely with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment .

Mission Hospital’s team also supports other regional facilities, including Mission Hospital McDowell, Angel Medical Center, Transylvania Regional Hospital, Blue Ridge Regional Hospital , South Asheville FSED and Highlands-Cashiers Hospital . While the primary location is Mission Hospital, physicians may have PRN privileges at these additional sites.
