Job Title : Structural Engineer III
Job Description
The Structural Engineer III will be responsible for overseeing the creation of 3D models and detailed drawings in RISA 3D based on customer-provided designs. Occasionally, the role will require working in SolidWorks to coordinate and oversee technical drawings with the MDE on the team. The position focuses on designing steel platforms, stairs, towers, foundations, skids, tanks, and drag chains for industries including Telecommunications, Transportation, Wastewater, and Oil & Gas. The ideal candidate will have more than six years of professional experience in structural engineering and a strong familiarity with ANSI, EIA / TIA, and ASSHTO standards.
Responsibilities
Oversee the creation of 3D models and detailed drawings in RISA 3D.
Coordinate and oversee technical drawings in SolidWorks.
Design structural components such as steel platforms, stairs, towers, and foundations.
Collaborate with the MDE and manage a team of engineers.
Ensure designs adhere to ANSI, EIA / TIA, and ASSHTO standards.
Develop and monitor project scopes and schedules.
Prepare basic engineering requirements and foundational design data.
Oversee scheduling of engineering activities, issuing drawings, specifications, and purchase orders.
Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, project teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
Essential Skills
6+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer
Proficiency in RISA 3D
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
Advanced knowledge of engineering technologies, codes, and standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Texas P.E. (preferred)
Experience with SolidWorks
Familiarity with tnxTower, Helicap, Lpile, and Mathcad
Work Environment
The Structural Engineer III will work primarily in an office environment with minimal time spent on the shop floor. The role involves managing a team of four engineers and delegating tasks effectively. All personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. The position offers a flexible schedule with core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $165000.00 / yr.
