Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,089 per week in Roanoke, VA

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 1 year in a comparable setting required License : Active nursing license required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have : Epic experience required Description : PCU RN position available for a 13-week assignment. Shifts are 3x12 hour nights from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15. This unit specializes in telemetry and the care of patients with stroke and neurology conditions. The unit is a certified primary stroke center. The patient-to-nurse ratio is currently 1 : 5. All travelers are expected to float within the institution as needed. It is required to manage and interpret dysrhythmias. Experience with blood product administration and IV management is essential. Staff will administer cardiac drips without titration and provide non-invasive airway management. Isolation precautions must be followed as necessary. Floating to other levels of care may be required. All candidates must be committed to starting on the specified date of submission. Compliance documents must be submitted prior to the start date. Previous charge experience is preferred. The unit supports various interdisciplinary services including physical therapy and respiratory services. The daily census averages 25 patients. Successful applicants will participate in required weekend coverage. Orientation and training modules must be completed for compliance.
