Fire Protection Engineer
Job Details :
My client is a top notch MEP Consulting Engineering firm with a great reputation. They are seeking a Fire Protection Engineer for a hybrid position.
Seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with 4+ years of experience in the DC area but could work out of McLean, Virginia Beach and Raleigh too.
- Bachelor’s and / or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Fire Protection
- Minimum 4 years in building fire protection, code and life safety consulting
- Experience performing sprinkler layouts and hydraulic calculations in Hydracalc or similar design software
- PE license preferred, minimum of EIT required
- Experience with DoD, government, health care, laboratories and / or universities preferred
- Experience performing field flow tests preferred
- Working knowledge of NFPA Standards and ICC Building Codes; experience with UFCs or P100 a plus
- Ability to conduct field surveys
- AutoCAD skills required; Revit / BIM experience a plus
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
