General Information
Beds : 15 bed Pediatric Unit; 5 Bed PICUExperience required : 1.5 years general nursing experience (system requirement)Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, only if greater than 2 years of experience (system requirement)Patient Types :Will work through both Gen Peds and PICUPediatrics : Patients 0-18 years of age and adult overflow (stable medical - s / p appendectomy, s / p cholecystectomy, cellulitis, etc.). The diagnosis of these patients varies from respiratory illness, diabetes, septicemia, cellulitis, hyperbilirubinemia, neglect / abuse, mental health, trauma, neurology, and general surgeries. The general surgeries may include ear / nose / throat, gastrointestinal, urological, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and trauma.Advanced Care Pediatrics : Patients 0-18 years of age requiring critical or intensive care services. The most common disease entities you may care for in our Advanced Care Pediatrics Unit include but are not limited to : ?acute and chronic respiratory insufficiency, circulatory failure, infectious diseases leading to major organ system dysfunction, endocrine and metabolic disorders, neurologic diseases, toxic ingestions / exposures, trauma, hematologic and oncologic disease.Patient Ratios :RN -General Pediatrics - 1 : 5Advanced Care Pediatrics : 1 : 1-2Required Certifications :RN : BLS, PALS, NIHSSNRP is not requiredRequired Education :Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of NursingAbout Malone Healthcare - Nursing
