Shift Information : Days (40 hrs. per wk.) - No Weekends

Job Type : Full Time (Permanent)

Salary Range : $30.34 / hr. min - $42.47 / hr. max (Based on years of experience)

Shift Differentials : $1 / HR for night shift & $1 / HR for Weekends

SIGN ON : $5k

Relocation : Case by case; Upon request

Expected Task :

• Perform histology and cytology procedures including specimen processing / fixation, cell block preparation, embedding, microtomy, slide preparation, routine stains, IHC and special stains, case organization in accordance with department procedures.
• Assure positive sample, block and slide identification Prepare and maintains reagents for routine stains and histology procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and instrumentation per manufacturer & department procedures and per department schedule.
• Adhere to department policy with regards to performance and documentation of quality control and quality assurance for instrumentation, equipment and procedures performed.
• Utilize independent judgement and problem-solving skills to ensure the accuracy of procedures performed and proper equipment performance.
• Troubleshoots to and takes appropriate corrective action to resolve and / or escalate issues in a timely manner for resolution.
• Adhere to department policy with regards to performance and documentation of quality control and quality assurance for instrumentation, equipment and procedures performed.
