Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults Patient Volume / Census : 1520 patients in clinic per week Surgical Cases : 610 per week Admissions : Yes, surgical admissions included Rounding : Yes, daily inpatient rounding Phone Consults : No Case Mix : Thoracic only Procedures : Robotics required; no esophageal work Specialty Backup Available : Yes, support staff available Support Staff Available : Yes Reason for Coverage : Supplemental coverage Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : TBD Credentialing Timeline : TBD (requires clean file) Compliance Onboarding Documentation Required : Current CV (month / year format), NPDB (within 3 months, clean), active Florida license, board eligibility / certification letter, primary source case logs (past 12 months only, HIPAA compliant) Rate : Fixed (Daily OT after 8 hours; Weekly OT after 168 hours) Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered (details TBD) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Robotic surgery (required) Thoracic procedures only (no esophageal work) Licenses : Active Florida medical license required Board : Board Certified / Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery (Thoracic only) DEA : Required Certifications : Not specified Experience : Recent thoracic case experience with 50+ primary source case logs (last 12 months only) Other Qualifications : Proficiency in robotics; ability to provide both inpatient and ambulatory coverage Provide thoracic surgical coverage in both inpatient and ambulatory settings Manage 1520 clinic patients weekly and perform 610 surgical cases weekly Perform robotic thoracic procedures (required) Round daily on inpatients Take variable onsite call as scheduled Collaborate with support staff and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and continuity of care Build a wide professional network by collaborating with different healthcare teams, opening doors for future career prospects and collaborations.
