• Level 1 trauma experience required.\n
• Experience at a larger facility with high acuity patients.\n
• Must be comfortable with lines and chest tubes.\n\nDescription : \n\nThis position is for a fast-paced surgical and orthopedic environment.\n\nThe nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 5, adjusting for higher acuity patients.\n\nCommon diagnoses include orthopedic cases and post-operative total joints.\n\nRNs are expected to titrate drips, including heparin.\n\nThe unit is equipped with telemetry capabilities and patients are monitored from a central station.\n\nNurse managers are available during business hours, and there is an adult house supervisor on weekends.\n\nCharge nurses may take on a light patient assignment when necessary.\n\nRespiratory therapy support is available for CPAP and BiPAP needs.\n\nShifts consist of 12-hour days or nights, with flexibility for self-scheduling.\n\nWeekend shifts are standard, requiring every other or two weekends per month.\n\nFloating between surgical and medical units may be required based on skill sets.\n\nScrubs should be solid colors and professional in appearance.\n\nThe charting system utilized is EpicCare Inpatient.\n\n28664693EXPPLAT\n\nJob Requirements\n\nRequired for Onboarding\n
