Accountant

At Regions, the Accountant uses professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve routine accounting issues, prepares and analyzes financial results for reports, and partners with more experienced accountants to meet reporting needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintains and reconciles General Ledger and subsidiary system ledgers as well as performs entries and reconciliations

Assists with general ledger research and helps ensure the integrity of accounting information

May interact with various levels of internal and external clients to obtain or provide information and / or resolve issues for assigned tasks, accounts, and legal entities

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Or High School Diploma and four (4) years of directly related accounting or corporate finance experience

Skills and Competencies

Ability to analyze and research with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels

Basic knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting systems, and practices

Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word

Strong verbal and written communication skills

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include : experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target : Minimum :

$47,591.50 USD

Median : $63,900.00 USD
