Regional Underwriting Officer, South Region

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Regional Underwriting Officer (RUO), for our South Region, U.S. Middle Market Business Unit. The RUO will report to the Regional Vice President (RVP) and be located in the South Region. The Regional Underwriting Officer is responsible for driving underwriting performance through the oversight of portfolio quality and pricing, business mix, authority delegation, underwriting quality, compliance actions and training needs within the region. This leader is a key conduit to our USMM LOB Underwriting and Industry Practices (IP) teams. Responsibilities include :

• Helping to ensure that our colleagues have a keen understanding of local issues, enabling us to refine our strategies as needed in our respective markets.
• Serving as change agents to ensure local adoption of new underwriting strategies, models and practices.
• Engaging with the IP or LOB teams on referrals and directly handling referrals where appropriate.
• Ensuring we are evaluating opportunities on a holistic, multi-line basis.

We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply, as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $175,000.00 - $280,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 25%.
